About the event
This event will offer perspectives on the potentials of psychedelic medicine in addressing trauma, whether PTSD proper, complex trauma, or the more subtle forms of trauma many of us hold in our bodies and psyches. The evening will consist of an interwoven balance of personal stories, research information, education, and perspectives on best practices in working with psychedelics to address trauma.
Our speakers include naturopath Dr. Kristin Barnes, suicide prevention coordinator Lauren Feringa, narrative filmmaker Ian Stout, and voice coach/movement therapist Martha Magny. They will share both expertise and personal experience regarding a wide array of psychedelics in healing trauma: iboga, 5-MeO-DMT, ayahuasca, psilocybin, MDMA, and LSD, and in a variety of contexts: therapeutic, ceremonial, and community based. Our intention is for an engaging and educational evening that will leave you with both new inspiration and new information
