In this talk, we will explore the therapeutic effects of microdosing small amounts of Psilocybe fungi and how this practice impacts cognition, mood, memory, and creativity. We will especially focus on how microdosing can help support cognitive function by enhancing neuroplasticity and neural generation, as well as the potential applications of microdosing as a therapeutic alternative to conventional anti-depressants. Reishi will share information from research as well as her from her experience coaching hundreds of people through this practice.

Reishi Strauss (she/her) is an herbalist, mycologist, and medicine maker from the Appalachian mountains of southwestern Virginia. Reishi graduated from Bastyr University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Herbal Science and from the Columbine's School of Botanicals Studies in Eugene, OR where she studied clinical herbalism, botany, and ecological stewardship with Howie Brounstein. She owns and operates her medicinal mushroom medicine business – Earth & Spirit Botanicals – which seeks to heal the planet & her people with sustainably wildcrafted and regeneratively cultivated herbal & fungal medicines. It is her passion and joy to share the magic of mushrooms and plants with others.
